TEIXEIRA DE FREITAS PROGRAM - SUPREME COURT

MERCOSUR SUPREME COURT EXCHANGE

Teixeira de Freitas Program is an exchange program for Law students who come from Universities in Mercosur countries. This program was put in motion after the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Brazilian Supreme Court and the University of Brasilia on May 27, 2009.

It aims to promote a legal-cultural academic exchange of law students from Mercosur and Associate countries. Undergraduate and Graduate Students may stay for one semester in the program.

The program comprises courses in the field of Law and an internship in the Brazilian Supreme Court during the academic semester at UnB.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be a national of a Mercosur or Associate Country;
  • Have some knowledge of Portuguese;
  • Be admitted as an exchange student at the University of Brasilia.

 

DEADLINES FOR APPLICATIONS:

  • November 1 (for stays during the 1st semester, from March to July)
  • May 15 (for stays during the 2nd semester, from August to December)

 

RESULTS 

The application will be analyzed by the School of Law, which will determine whether the student will be accepted or not. After the decision, the student will receive an Admission Letter in order to request the required visa.
