The International Affairs Office (INT) is the department, at the University of Brasilia, in charge of promoting the interaction between UnB and international higher education institutions. INT supports and implements technical, scientific and cultural cooperation agreements, facilitating the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students, receiving students who are beneficiaries of these agreements. In this regard, INT acts as an important source of support for Brazilian and foreign students.

To promote interaction with higher education institutions at the international level.

 

OBJECTIVES 

 

  • To prepare, propose and implement UnB's international cooperation policies;
  • To promote scientific, technological, cultural, artistic and philosophical exchange between UnB and international institutions;
  • To promote the exchange of undergraduate students;
  • To manage interuniversity projects and agreements;
  • To propose and implement strategies that enable the development of projects of international importance with other UnB academic units;
  • To guide students, professors and researchers of foreign institutions in exchange at UnB.

 

 

CHRONOLOGY

 

In 1987, the Exchange and International Programs Support Center (CIP) was created. Its main objective was to develop programs to allow the university community to exchange cultural experiences and to improve their foreign languages skills. Ten years later, its name was changed to International Affairs Office (INT), designation more suitable to the University's policy and interests, regarding the implementation of new technical, scientific and cultural cooperation agreements with international institutions. 

  • 1987 - Direction - Technical Assistance - Secretary.
  • 1997 - Direction - Technical Assistance and International Events - Secretary - Dissemination - International Cooperation and Exchange.
  • 2006 - Direction - Technical Assistance and International Events - Secretary - Dissemination and Exchange - International Cooperation - Special Programs.
  • 2010 - Direction - Technical Assistance/International Events Services and Dissemination - Secretary - International Cooperation - Exchange - Special Programs.
