How to Make an Agreement

Before requesting the signing of an Agreement, it is necessary to seek information about the ones in effect.

If there is no Agreement with your university, a legal representative of the university must propose the Agreement, usually a member of the international office.

When the proposal is approved, it must be signed by the President/Rector of each institution, two copies in Portuguese and two copies in the official language of the foreign institution. One of the copies will be retained by each institution.

Besides Agreements, the Cooperation Coordination also deals with Co-advisement conventions. In this modality of studies, the student write the Master’s or Doctoral theses under supervision of two advisors, one at UnB and one abroad. The procedure for this type of Agreement is different.
